Dave Bowerman – West Midlands and the North
Founder of SCP, Dave Bowerman started back in 1998 as one of the first professional detailers here in the UK. Coming from a prestigious car valeting background, his early career saw him working with various manufacturers at motor shows around Europe, preparing cars for the worlds press and public at various shows and press launches.
In 2000 at the prestigious Geneva motor show, after preparing the new Aston Martin vanquish for its worldwide debut, Dave was approached by Aston Martin to become their full time contractor for the preparation of their cars for all press launches , magazine shoots and private events back in the UK . Dave worked with Aston martin through to when they were sold by Ford in 2007 including working on some of the more famous cars like the Vanquish used in the James Bond Movie, Die Another Day and for exclusive clients such as Ralph Lauren.
It was about this time that Dave’s client base started to grow, seeing him apply his skills worldwide for enthusiasts and private collectors and winning awards at many Concours events such as Aston Martin, Porsche and Ferrari owners club, Salon Prive, Hampton Court Palace and Villa D’este.
Ian Aston – South Wales and the South West
Ian joined the team back in 2007, as the client base grew Dave discovered Ian’s work on an enthusiast detailing forum, impressed with his work he invited him to join the company, Ian jumped at the chance to turn his passion into a profession and the rest as they say is history .
Ian now runs our South Wales branch as well as supporting SCP’s clients and managing events out in Europe and the UAE.
James Richardson Surrey and the South East
Late 2010 James joined the team and runs our Surrey branch, working from his location in Chobham, James has built up an impressive client base, along side private investors and collectors he also works regularly with RM Sotheby’s, Historics Auctions, Eagle E-type, Girado & Co and also supports Chris Evans at his charity events such as Car Fest.
